Seva Sangha Mohila Samity founded as an NGO in 1983, by the teacher and social worker late. MD.KHABIRUDDIN AHMED. His endeavor was to bring changes in the life of underprivileged, socially and economically weaker section of the society and to bring justice as well as help those persons who are destitute women and children in the society. For achieving and fulfilling the objective of the organization, he tries to uplift these section of the society with the implementation of various central and state government schemes.
Over the years the Institute has grown to be a learning center on social studies and has established its credentials in social research, monitoring and evaluations studies, gender issues, capacity building of various stakeholders on Government functionaries on child, gender and development related issues. It runs short stay homes for the vulnerable women and survivors of trafficking/violence and provides counselling support to people from all walks of life through its counselling centers. It has also running legal aid clinic through the selected legal professionals.
Our NGO is dedicated to helping communities in need by providing support, education, and resources to those who need it the most.

Shakti Sadan
The organization is running shakti sadan which is a shelter home and safe custordy for the woman in distrace, victims and rescued and trafficking women.
The home provides all the facilities- fooding, clothing, medical aid etc... a great deal of effort is given to have trained human resource for effective addressing the psycho-social problems of the inmates. Regular counselling sessions are organized for the women with a special focus on those whose mental framework and self-esteem have been badly bruised due to the turmoil they have faced in life
All the inmates of the home are engaged in various vocational training programmes to channelize their creative energy in productive manner. They have been imparted training on embroidery, tailoring, soft toys and jute handicrafts and their products are now being sold in various retail outlets as well as exhibitions
The recreational facilities at the Home are aimed not only towards sublimation of their energy but also serve as an effective tool for modification of their behavior. Songs, dance, recitation, yoga, indoor games are some of the recreational facilities offered in the Home. Cultural programmes are also regularly organized at the Home to mark special days like Independence Day, Republic Day etc.
Legal aid service is provided to those who are in need by the renowned and efficient lawyers selected by the NGO. Family counseling is also done by the legal experts and counselors.
